For neurologic fields, observing the gray scale of a 30-2 is sufficient, because most neurologic field
cuts are relatively absolute, whereas in glaucomatous optic neuropathy the compromised tissues
tend to cause softer visual field defects.
The key to glaucoma care is to be ever vigilant. Miss nothing and provide careful, attentive follow-up
care.
