Patients with complicated neurological disorders are becoming more common. These individuals have multiple secondary visual conditions that can benefit from assessment and treatments by optometrists specializing in neuro diseases. This presentation will present four cases of Persistent Postural Perceptual Dizziness (PPPD), Visual Snow, COVID, and Lyme Disease.

This presentation will review the various categories of patients with special needs, along with common visual conditions that are related to the diagnoses. Assessment and treatment considerations for patients with special needs will be covered.

Once these visual skills are developed it is important to guide students through specific visual activities to learn how to read more efficiently. The instructor will show how to evaluate, treat and train students at any age to make their vision better and improve reading skills.

This presentation covers epidemiology, assessment and treatment for patients who have sustained a CVA.
