This 2-hour course will look back at what we knew about glaucoma “then” – how we made the diagnosis, and how we treated it – and will look at how far we’ve come since those early days of optometric involvement in the diagnosis and management of glaucoma. The course will present the latest diagnostic tools and treatment options – medications, laser, and surgical advances that have changed the way we manage glaucoma now.

“Retinal Potpourri: It’s not rare if it’s in your chair!” 1hr. COPE # 82186-TD

This course will highlight a variety of challenging posterior segment cases emphasizing clinical presentation, differential diagnoses, and management patterns. Topics will include posterior uveitis, macular telangiectasia, congenital retinal dystrophies and degenerations, infectious retina, and retinal oncology. Preferred Practice recommendations including guidelines for diagnosis and management will be discussed.

“OCT Connect: Case Presentations” 1hr. COPE#  85169-TD

This course will present a variety of cases including the ocular manifestations of systemic disease, the ocular manifestations of drug toxicity and selected posterior segment diseases including diseases of the vitreomacular interface and diabetic macular edema. AAO Preferred Practice Guidelines and guidelines will be discussed. The course will emphasize the use of OCT in the diagnosis and management of these conditions. Current practice guidelines based on OCT will be heavily regarded.
