Dry eye and ocular surface disease are fundamentally due to a disruption of homeostasis. This course will cover the goals of dry eye treatment in this homeostatic context.

Recent studies reveal a correlation between myopia and mental health, especially in terms of anxiety. Therefore, can controlling the progression of myopia help to control anxiety and improve a patient’s quality of life? This lecture will review the psychological effects of myopia in children and adolescents as well as the mental health status of the parents of myopic children. During this lecture, we will also discuss myopia control techniques including multifocal contact lenses, orthokeratology and atropine therapy.
