If Vyzulta or another prostaglandin performs well but does not achieve target IOP range, then we
prescribe a therapeutic trial of timolol. If asthma precludes the use of a beta-blocker, then we
consider 0.2% brimonidine or dorzolamide twice daily.

If a combination of any of these two options fails to achieve target IOP range, then the thought
process becomes more challenging. It is important for optometrists to be knowledgeable about the
different medications available and thoughtfully work through the decision-making process.
